The biennial World of Threads Festival is a showcase of local, national and international contemporary fibre and textile art. It is based in Oakville, Ontario and attracts visitors from around the world. It began in 1994. The festival is organized and curated by Dawne Rudman and Gareth Bate and also features guest curators. The main festival venue is Queen Elizabeth Park Community and Cultural Centre.
