Turqoise Seen ThroughTears
Year: 2005
Size: Ø 75cm

About:

The “Seen Through Tears” -series is about how straight lines are destorted when seen through a lens. The circular format becomes a lens through which straight lines becomes curved in a special way. The title is also referring to a painting by Edvard Munch, about which is´s being said that it has been “painted through tears”. The circle is a shape that is easily distorted. To be perfect it has to be seen from a precise point. If the viewer moves just one bit to the side the circle becomes an ellipse. Humans percieve the surroundings through different filters, like tears.
