World of Threads Festival 2016

[fbshare type=”button” width=”100″] I am off to Canada today to be at the opening of this amazing Festival, 7 exhibitions featuring 315 artworks by 134 artists from Austria, Australia, Belgium, Canada, England, France, China, Hungary, India, Iran, Israel, Japan, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Russia, South Africa, Spain, Ukraine and USA.

The biennial World of Threads Festival is a showcase of local, national and international contemporary fibre and textile art. It is based in Oakville, Ontario and attracts visitors from around the world. It began in 1994. The festival is organized and curated by Dawne Rudman and Gareth Bate and also features guest curators.
