New Work: No Signal

[fbshare type=”button” width=”100″] No signal is different from my other work. It is a tapestry mounted inside an old flatscreen tv.  This Happened: After a burglary in the building where I have my studio, a broken tv-screen landed outside my door and was left there for almost a year until I took it in and emptied it for it’s content. I made a monochrome grey tapestry to fill the space where the screen had been. I called it No Signal, because the screen looks dead, with no image, no power.  It was shown together with The Mothership Tapestry in the exhibition at Gallery BOA. In that context it was symbolizing the connection between earth and spaceship.
